Alleva Care Obesity Glycaemic Control is a complete, grain-free dietetic food for adult dogs of all sizes, formulated to reduce excess body weight and to regulate glucose supply in cases of diabetes mellitus.

The formula has a low energy density, reduced fat content and a controlled carbohydrate supply, to help manage energy and glucose metabolism.

The high content of high-quality protein and functional fibre helps maintain muscle mass and a feeling of fullness, while targeted nutritional components support correct lipid metabolism and overall wellbeing.

Directions for use: It is recommended to seek a veterinarian’s opinion before use or before extending the period of use. Always leave fresh water available so your pet can stay well hydrated. Store in a cool, dry place in the closed pack.
Recommended length of use: Feed as is until the target body weight is reached, and afterwards if needed to maintain the correct weight. As a guide, it can cover 40% to 60% of the dog’s energy requirement, calculated on ideal weight. For dogs with hyperlipidaemia, initial use of up to 2 months is recommended; up to 6 months for managing diabetic dogs. A transition period at the start of the diet is also recommended, to adapt the body to the high fibre content.
Recommended daily ration: Serve as is, following the daily amount shown in the table. Daily amounts may vary according to size, environment, exercise and temperament. For effective weight loss, the recommended daily amount in the table should not be exceeded. The ration can be split into two or more meals a day.
