Alleva FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Alleva

Everything about Alleva kibble, the available ranges, ingredients, switching foods and solutions for dogs and cats with specific needs.

🇮🇹Is Alleva kibble made in Italy?

Yes, all Alleva kibble is made in Italy by Diusapet S.r.l., an Italian company with over 20 years of experience in pet nutrition. Our production plants meet high European standards of quality and food safety.

This is one of the brand’s key strengths and reflects the Made in Italy philosophy of the Alleva range.

🥣What is the difference between Alleva Holistic, Natural and Equilibrium?

Alleva Holistic is the premium grain-free range with functional phytonutrients such as Korean ginseng, aloe vera and turmeric, ideal for all-round wellbeing.

Alleva Natural is the low-grain range with fresh meat, brown rice and pumpkin, perfect if you want quality at the right price.

Alleva Equilibrium is formulated for dogs and cats with digestive or skin sensitivities, with selected proteins and highly digestible recipes.

🐶Is Alleva kibble suitable for dogs with food allergies?

The Alleva Equilibrium range is specifically formulated for pets with food intolerances and allergies. It uses alternative protein sources such as lamb, venison, fish and pork, together with simple ingredients, to reduce the risk of adverse reactions.

For more complex cases, the veterinary range Alleva Care Hydrolyzed, with hydrolysed proteins, is also available.

🌿What are the phytonutrients in Alleva Holistic kibble?

Phytonutrients are natural plant compounds with proven functional properties. Alleva Holistic recipes include Korean ginseng, aloe vera, turmeric, hemp seed and rosemary.

These ingredients work in synergy to support your pet’s body functions, overall wellbeing and antioxidant protection.

⚖️How do I work out the daily amount of kibble to feed?

The daily amount depends on your pet’s body weight, age, activity level and size. Every Alleva pack includes a recommended feeding table.

As a general guide, a medium-sized adult dog of 10–20 kg with normal activity eats between 160 and 260 g a day.

We recommend splitting the daily amount into 2 meals and always providing fresh water.

🌾Is Alleva kibble grain free?

The Alleva Holistic range is completely grain free and contains no wheat, corn, barley or other grains.

Alleva Natural is low grain, meaning it has a low grain content.

Alleva Equilibrium and Alleva Care may contain moderate amounts of selected grains, depending on the recipe.

Always check the label of the specific product.

🔄How do I switch to Alleva kibble?

To change your dog’s or cat’s food without causing digestive upset, switch gradually over 7–10 days.

Start by replacing 25% of the old food with Alleva, then increase the proportion every 2–3 days until you reach 100% of the new food.

For pets with a sensitive stomach, we recommend starting with the Alleva Equilibrium range.

🍗What is the main protein source in Alleva kibble?

Alleva only uses top-quality fresh or dehydrated meat and fish as the first protein source: fresh chicken, Atlantic salmon, lamb, turkey, venison and more.

Protein content in the premium ranges is over 26–32%, with a complete amino acid profile to support muscle mass, coat quality and vitality.

🏪Can I buy Alleva wholesale for a breeding kennel or shop?

Yes. Alleva has a dedicated B2B portal, accessible from the B2B Portal menu, reserved for professional breeders, pet shops and distributors.

The Neobreeder range was developed specifically with experienced breeders to meet the nutritional needs of puppies and breeding adults.

✨Does Alleva kibble contain artificial colourings, preservatives or flavourings?

No. The entire Alleva range is formulated without artificial colourings, chemical preservatives or synthetic flavourings.

Freshness is preserved with natural antioxidants such as vitamin E and rosemary extract, in line with the brand’s Made in Italy philosophy.
